May Update
We met with a reverend in Simi Valley the other night. On the drive out, I kept thinking "I really hope we like him, I hope we have a connection". Luckily, we did! Our meeting with Reverend Southwick was very nice. He was full of smiles and information. He went over traditional ceremony etiquette, and touched on outdated wedding lingo as well. It was quite a history lesson in marriage ceremonies... I know I learned a lot. Mike and I decided that we wanted a simple ceremony including religion, that was not too long or too elaborate. I was happy to hear that the Reverend would also be available to attend our rehearsal. Some of the other ministers I spoke with prior, would not.
In other news, I picked up my finished gown!!!! It is absolutely perfect, I can't believe how amazing it is! When I tried it on the first time, I knew it was the one, but you do not get the full effect with big clamps in the back, giving the illusion of a dress that fits. Next mission... the shoes! I am thinking of going gold ;) Not only would gold make a stunning statement; my friend Heidi has also requested her bridesmaids wear gold shoes at her wedding. I can kill two birds with one stone... or one striking stiletto ;)
