Updates & Stamps

Well, I was on a roll and apparently hit a wall. It has been a little while since I last blogged, my apologies. What have we been up to??? Well, Mike & I met with a non-denominational reverend one day. He was very nice, but a bit hard to follow. One minute he was talking about his background, the next he was telling us how beautiful our children will be, and how he hopes he will get to meet them. After our looooong meeting Mike and I agreed that while he was nice, we did not feel a strong connection with him. We have an appointment to meet with another reverend this month. I hope we like him!

What else... I had a trial with a make-up artist that my photographer recommended. I am extremely picky about make-up! People always want to darken in my eyebrows too much or put odd dark lipstick shades on me. I booked Tanya immediately after looking in the mirror. She is fabulous! Tanya also referred me to a hair stylist. I don't really have a specific hair dresser... I kind of bounce around from one person to the next. Other than that, we do not have much left to do. I think the only major item left, is the food tasting. Yummmmmy!

Now for a funny story. I remember hearing on the news a while back, that the Post Office was going to raise their stamp rates this May. I was talking with my friend Heidi when all of a sudden I panicked... "What date are they raising rates!?!?!" It had been my plan to buy all of the 'forever stamps' necessary for sending out our invitations before hand. I frantically pulled up Google to make sure I did not need to run out to the Post Office this evening & buy my bulk order. Phew, May 11th! I still had a few days. Upon closer inspection I realized they are only raising the rate by 1 or 2 cents... coming out to a whopping $3! Although I have been on a crazy budget ever since Mike & I got engaged, three bucks is definitely not something to panic over ;) Le Sighhhh
