"The Dress"

The week of Thanksgiving my close friend Heidi called to tell me she was engaged!!! We have been going back and forth sharing ideas and sending each other links to wedding sites that we liked. Heidi learned that Carolina Herrera was having a bridal trunk show this past weekend and asked me if I wanted to go. When I looked at her gowns online, I didn't think I would find anything that was my style. But I wanted to go and support my friend and see her find the perfect silhouette! ...It really is surprising to compare the cut you think you will like, with the silhouette that ends up looking perfect on your figure!
Sorry I am getting side tracked, anyhow we got to the store at 9:30am and were the first ones in! I went through the racks and found just what I had expected, a selection of dresses that were not 'me', until I came across one gown. It looked very pretty. When I put it on and stood in front of the mirror I just knew... I didn't want to take it off... it was the one! I was not at all prepared to buy a dress that day, so I called my mom to tell her of my unexpected find. After I finished, I said "Mom what do I do?" Her response, without hesitation, "Well buy it!" She could tell by my tone and description, I was in love with it.

So one decision made! ...many, many, more to follow! And sorry, this is the only picture you get of my dress until 2009 when you see it in person ;)
