Our BEEautiful Flower Girl

Meet our BEEautiful flower girl, Madeline! She is the daughter of John and Allison Riehl (Mike's longtime friends, and now my dear friends) and the niece of my bridesmaid Emily Novak! She is SO adorable. I tell Mike all the time, "We need to steal her!" And now, it looks like we can... well, at least for the ceremony :)


I thought it might be a fun idea to ask Madeline to be our flower girl by sending her this book, 10 Neat Things About Being a Flower Girl. It lists the top duties that make being a flower girl really cool, from being the bride’s special helper to getting to be in the wedding photographs. I couldn't wait for Madeline to get the package. I was checking the UPS online tracking, daily. This morning I heard my cellphone beep and saw that I had a new voicemail. It was Allison!!! She said they had just received the book and were so excited to be included in our special day. Madeline got on the line as well to say, "Yes please! Thank you!" to accept our invitation.

Madeline will be right around 3 years old when we have our wedding. I think she will be at the perfect age to walk down the aisle (we are just having a flower girl). But if she needs a little help, her Auntie Em will be a familiar face to help her through! I can't wait to start looking at little dresses for her, she is going to make the best flower girl! And I still might have to steal her ;)
