My Girls!

This Sunday I surprised my closest girlfriends with a brunch at The Penthouse restaurant in the Huntley Hotel.

I invited them to meet at my apartment around noon, and gave each girl a card asking them to be one of my bridesmaids!!! Unfortunately Jenny could not be there, but she will be visiting the mainland soon. I am really looking forward to spending some time with her!
I am so thankful to have these girls in my life. They have each impacted my life in such an amazing way, they are my support system, and I can't imagine my life without them.

Casey and I have been friends since our sophmore year of high school. Casey attended a different high school and ended up dating a good friend of mine at the time. Eric introduced us at a football game one night & we instantly clicked. I had so much fun talking and laughing with Casey, that even when they broke up, we continued to hang out. Over the years Casey and I have always stayed close, I can't say as much for Eric and I ;) It is funny to look back on all the 'dating drama' Casey and I have shared through the years, but in the end we both found our Prince Charmings!

Emily and I also met during high school, but it wasn't until Mike and I got together, that we became friends. Emily was dating one of Mike's friends, and we found ourselves ignoring them and laughing by ourselves whenever the boys would get together. We turned out to the be the planners of the group; putting together fun outings, trying new restaurants, and searching for the best New Years events. No matter what, we are always laughing!

Heidi and I met in college. Some of my dorm mates, ended up moving into an apartment with Heidi after our first year. There were times when I felt like their fourth roommate. One semester, I think we spent every single weeknight going out to dinner, hanging out & watching TV, or having a slumber party at Heidi's apartment. After college Heidi moved to Santa Monica and we continued to stay in touch. And wouldn't you know it, as soon as Mike & I moved to Brentwood (literally 2 minutes away from Heidi) she moved in with 'her Mike' to an apartment in Sherman Oaks! No matter the distance, I know Heidi will always be there for me, and has always lent me her shoulder to cry on ;)

Jenny and I met at Casey's high school graduation party. We got to talking about college, and realized we were both attending Long Beach State. By the time the party was over, we had decided to request each other as roommates! Going away to college was an enormous change, but it was extremely comforting to have a great friend to live with during our first year. Through the hardest of times, Jenny can always make me laugh. Jenny is always on the go, and recently moved to Hawaii. I miss her dearly & I am so happy that she promised to fly back to be one of my bridesmaids!

Katie is my best friend of 27 years and my Maid of Honor! Our parents met in a playgroup class and we became the closest of friends. We have spent about 8 billion hours talking on the phone, 4 billion hours playing My Little Ponies, built countless forts together, shared family vacations in Solvang, Iowa, Utah, and Hawaii... she really is the sister that I never had. Katie knows me inside and out, never judges me, and will ALWAYS be my very best friend.

Marisa and I also went to Long Beach State together and both ended up working for MySpace. When I started at MySpace I was actually supporting Marisa, as she had just moved into sales. We worked together on her campaigns, and ended up chatting all day over instant messenger. We found that we had quite a bit in common, and ended up spending a lot of time together... going to Friday lunches, having bbq's at her home, traveling to Texas for our friend Holly's bachelorette trip, and then to Cabo for an amazing wedding vacation. I turn to Marisa for advice constantly & she has been incredibly helpful during our wedding planning process!

I am SO happy to be a bridesmaid in your wedding. I have so enjoyed building our friendship the past few years, and can't wait to continue building more memories with and Mike. Thos stinky boys!! If it weren't for them, I don't know if I would have met one of my best friends. Love you so much and thank you for the very special lunch yesterday! xoxo
